Google’s search engine was useful.  The information that I found on that engine was useful to both middle school students and college level learners.  There was three for kids that really were useable in the classroom and very accurate.  The depth of information for like a college student seemed to be very easily read and understandable.  Overall I would rate this website very useful and accurate.

Yahoo’s search engine was for the most part turned up kid friendly websites that would be really easy to use in the classroom.  They all had unique games that could be played, graphics were very accurate and the reading on each site was easy to understand.  I personally like this search engine, for the classroom, just because it turned up more kid friendly websites.

Dogpile’s search engine I was not impressed with.  The first two sites that it gave me had nothing to do with the Respiratory System.  The other four were the same first four from Google and Yahoo.  I do not think that this would be a good website to look for things on, just because it did not find everything on the respiratory system.

Overall I think that Yahoo is the better choice to hunt for something in the classroom, because it turned up useful and accurate sites for middle school students.  I have always used google, but with doing this assignment I think I will start using Yahoo, just because it is more student and teacher friendly.

    Amanda,

I too liked Yahoo, but found Google more to my liking. I haven’t tried Dogpile and from how it sounds, I might not want to. I do think that we may find lots of better info and sites by doing the assignments for this class.

Google is a good search engine but I did find Ask.com more impressive than what I expected. It gave a lot more extra options than did google. I will trust you on Dogpile. I never had much luck on anything with it.
